ERICO CADWELD high-voltage copper connections give you all the advantages you have come to expect from exothermic connections. ERICO CADWELD connections have the current-carrying capacity equal to the conductors they connect and will never loosen or corrode. The ERICO CADWELD high-voltage welding set-up uses a unique ceramic fiber smoke filter system which prevents sparks and produces minimal smoke, but also reduces dust and other emissions to an acceptable level for exposures, even if used in unventilated small rooms and cable tunnels.

For applications such as computer room, tunnel or other low-ventilation areas, specify a smokeless ERICO CADWELD EXOLON mold. Add an XL prefix to the standard mold part number when ordering (for example, a TAC2Q2Q becomes XLTAC2Q2Q). Similarly, ERICO CADWELD EXOLON welding material is also designated by the XL prefix (for example, 150 becomes XL150).
A gap between conductors may be required. See mold tag for more information.
